Claude Never Thought He Would Leave The Ground to See the Ocean

Claude had spent his entire life deeply rooted in soil. The only other individuals he had met were insects here and there and the five other flowers clustered near him. Insects were often dull with little to add to any conversation. He liked the other flowers around him, but he often became frustrated with them or just plain tired of the lack of variety. It wasn't only the company that lacked variety, but also the scenery. Behind him was a fence, in front the green grass. The only thing offering any sort of variation was the sky. But the sky was little consolation for such a curious flower. Claude wanted to explore the world. When Claude grew arms, he dug himself out of the dirt. When he grew legs, he began to walk. Ever since, life has been an amazing adventure. Now he is on a seals back in the middle of the ocean. He had never seen the ocean before and he finds it quite spectacular. Who knows where he will end up tomorrow.
