Building a Fire on a Windy Eve

I use to live near the ocean and my friends and I would have beach bonfires. Our jackets would smell like a summer campfire for days and days afterward. It is a nice smell. While on the island at my friends cabin, we tried to build a campfire. It was too windy. Fires on windy days can be a dangerous prospect!
