Summer Sunglasses

The sun came threw the window at just the right angle for my sunglasses, sitting at the table, to make an awesome shadow! A shadow that just insisted on me making silly doodles to go along with. The sun is here, as are the sunglasses and all the other indicators of summer. 

Summer is a little much for me. I moved to Seattle for a reason! Thanks a lot global warming! But even though I may not be a hot day enthusiast, there are things I love about this time of year. Here are some of my favorites! (This list will cheer me up the next 90 degree day where I am melting and lethargic.)

• Swimming! What is more delightful than the freedom of weightlessness. I love being immersed in water. I no longer have to be directionally confined. I can go forward, backward, up, down and diagonal. I love the peace of bobbing and splashing in water.
• Fruit! There are few things more delicious than fruit I especially love fruit salad. Watermelon is probably my favorite fruit, but I like Raspberries too, and strawberries! I can't forget peaches, nectarines, blueberries, blackberries and cherries. Fruit is all around wonderful.
• Long days! The sun sets super late in Seattle during the summer. The sun sets around 9 at this time of year. It is awesome!
• The Great Outdoors! Summer is such a grand time for park visits and hikes in the woods.
• Fans! I really like fans. I know breeze can be divisive, with many people complaining of air blowing on their face, but I think it is a peaceful and comforting feel.
