My Stamp Collection
I got this book at a thrift store:
I like the cover. A bunch of jolly children against a bright yellow background. Can't go wrong there. But, just because I purchased this for the cover, doesn't mean I don't have a stamp collection. Here it is, my disorginized bundle of stamps rumpled and stuffed into various plastic bags.
Stamps! They are really quite neat. My grandmother built me a doll house when I was little. It is amazing! Little rooms with tiny furniture, tiny books and tiny pots and pans. She is a painter, so she even painted the tiny little pictures that hung up in the house. Stamps remind me of these little paintings. They are tiny peices of art! I got my stamp collection from my dad. He started the collection when he was a child, so the stamps are mostly from the 1940's and 1950's.
