Miriam and Marcy Travel Home on an Armadillo
I got a book from a friend about a year ago called "Dancing with Cats." Its a photo book of people who dance with their cats. The pictures show men and women (sometimes in cat costumes) in the midsts of leaping and twirling while their cats mimic their every move. I think the pictures look very realistic, although all of my friends tell me they are photo shopped. So now the issue of people dancing with their cats is up there with weather or not Big Foot or the Loch Ness Monster are real. (My Opinion: Big Foot-Very likely, Loch Ness Monster - No). Since getting this book, I have attempted to dance with my cats but all of three of them seem either uninterested or frightened. My failed attempts do not persuade me to disbelieve the dancing cats. Despite photoshops existence and its occasional use to manipulate and deceive, I think these cat dancers are sincere. More because I like the idea rather than having any hard proof or gut feelings. Usually I like living in this time of advanced technology, but I do think it is sad we can no longer believe photographs. In other ways it is good, because even in the pre-photoshop days, photographs didn't always tell a true story.
