Sylvie Sees the World in Three Colors
Sylvie knows that other colors exist besides green, red and brown, but those are the only three colors she sees. The ocean never appears a shimmering blue color to her, but instead a dull red color. Snow is green and the night sky is brown. She was never dissatisfied with the three colors she viewed the world in untill she learned that others saw more color. Somebody once tried to describe purple to her, but it made no sense to her. Some colors she was glad not to know. The ideas of white and black both terrified her. The foggy blankness of white and vast infinity of black were colors she could do without. But she longed to see blue and yellow and orange and all of the other colors that existed.
